Is there really a free plan?
Yes — Deckhand is free forever. You get 20 questions a day across all core maritime topics, which covers most study and revision needs. Upgrade only if you want unlimited questions and the extras.
When do paid features go live?
MaritimeMentor is currently in preview. Paid plans launch together with accounts, cross-device sync, and citation sources — the pieces already on the roadmap. Anyone who signs up early locks founding-member pricing for life.
What happens when I hit the free limit?
Your question allowance covers a rolling 7 days, so you are never locked out for long. If you regularly run out, that is a good sign Officer would pay for itself.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Monthly plans cancel at the end of the current billing period, no questions asked. Annual plans can be cancelled with a pro-rata refund within the first 60 days.
Do you offer education discounts?
Yes — training academies, maritime colleges, and cadet programmes get discounted Fleet pricing. Use the contact form below and tell us roughly how many seats you need.
Is my chat data used to train models?
No. Your conversations are yours. We do not use chat content for model training, and you can delete your history at any time.
